FK19 Mulberry Branches and Berries
Deep black shakudo with Mulberry branches and berries. The quality of the shakudo is very high with a deep black color and luster. The details of the tree is excellent and displays a quiet elegance. The Mulberry has great significance in asian culture. The bark is the source of quality paper, the leaves are food for silk worms, the roots provide medicinal elements, and it is implemented in Shinto ritual. The set is signed “Yasuharu” with a monogram (kao). The signature has not been researched for validity, but based on the confidence and elegance of the kao, and the quality of the set, I have little doubt about its validity, but it is priced on the merit of quality and condition, not the signature. Lovely set for a collection or mounting. Includes box.
